Turn your LinkedIn PDF into a real resume

Export your profile («More → Save to PDF»), upload it here, and a minute later you have a properly laid-out resume with your details already filled in, ready to download as PDF or Word. No account, no email, no watermark, and your profile is never stored anywhere.

1

Export your profile as PDF

On desktop: your profile → the «More» button under your photo → «Save to PDF». In the mobile app: your profile → the three dots → «Save to PDF». It takes two seconds and nobody is notified.

2

Upload it here

We read it and pull out your name, headline, About section, every role with dates and descriptions, education, skills, languages, certifications and public contact details. The file is processed in memory and discarded: nothing is stored.

3

Review and pick a template

Fix whatever needs fixing, choose from 15 templates, colour and font, and watch the result update as you type. The PDF is rendered in your own browser.

4

Download as PDF or Word

Unlimited downloads, no watermark and no card details at the end. If you need the .docx to tweak it elsewhere, that works too.

Why you should not send the LinkedIn PDF as it is

  • It mixes languages: if your profile exists in two languages, the PDF prints both versions one after the other.
  • Headings come out in LinkedIn's own words («Contact», «Top Skills»), not as resume sections.
  • Descriptions read like a profile, in the first person and usually without numbers.
  • There is no visual hierarchy: same type size everywhere, barely any margins and three or four pages.
  • It carries the photo, the long profile URL and sections a resume does not need.

What to fix once it is imported

  • Cut the summary to three lines: who you are, one achievement with a number, what you are after.
  • Turn each role into two to four bullets about results, not duties.
  • Drop the generic skills («team player») and keep tools, systems and certifications.
  • Check the dates: LinkedIn sometimes exports the year only, and months read better.
  • Pick a template with the green shield if you are applying through job boards.

What gets imported

Name, headline, the «About» summary, every role with company, dates, location and description, your education, top skills, languages, licences and certifications, and the public contact details (email, phone and profile URL) when the PDF carries them. Whatever LinkedIn leaves out of the export — the photo, recommendations, your full skill list — cannot appear: you add the photo in the editor if you want one.

Resume not from LinkedIn? Upload it anyway. Word, Canva, Europass or InDesign exports are parsed too, and when the text layer is clean almost everything comes through.

Frequently asked questions

Can you convert a LinkedIn PDF into a resume?

Yes, and it is the quickest way to get a decent one: the PDF LinkedIn exports contains your details as real text, so they can be extracted and poured into a form. What you should not do is send that PDF as your resume: it is built to print a profile, not to apply for a job.

How do I export the PDF from LinkedIn?

On desktop, open your profile, click «More» under your photo and choose «Save to PDF». In the mobile app, open your profile, tap the three dots and choose «Save to PDF». The file downloads in seconds and nobody is notified.

Do I have to connect my LinkedIn account?

No. We never ask for your username, password or any permission, and we do not connect to LinkedIn: you export your own profile and upload the file.

What happens to my PDF and my data?

The PDF is read in memory to extract the text and discarded straight away; it is never stored or passed to anyone. The final resume is generated in your browser, so it does not even reach our server. A draft stays in your own device so you do not lose your work.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no email, no trial, no watermark and no «upgrade to download». There is no paid version at all; the project is free and has nothing to sell.

Will the resume pass applicant tracking systems?

Thirteen of the 15 templates are single-column, real text and marked with a green shield, which is what ATS parsers handle well. You can also run the finished PDF through our free ATS checker and see exactly what a filter reads.

What if I do not use LinkedIn?

Start from scratch with the form, or upload any resume you already have as a PDF: we try to read it too, even when it did not come from LinkedIn.
